SoulMatch – iOS Matrimony App (SwiftUI) + Supabase Backend + Admin Panel

SoulMatch is a complete matrimony / matchmaking app for iPhone, built in SwiftUI, with a production-ready Supabase backend (Postgres with row-level security, RPC APIs, edge functions) and a single-file web admin panel. Designed for the Indian market, with Kundli matching, religion / caste / community preferences and ₹ pricing.

iOS app (SwiftUI)

• Splash, onboarding, phone OTP login and step-by-step profile creation
• Home, Discover (swipe cards), Search with advanced filters
• Profile details with Like / Connect, shortlist and "Who viewed me"
• Interests: received, sent and accepted
• Chat list and real-time chat
• Voice and video call screens (LiveKit token edge function included)

Supabase backend

• Full schema: profiles, preferences, photos, interests, shortlists, profile views, conversations, messages, calls, reports, blocks, plans, subscriptions, notifications, FAQs, config
• Row-level security on every table; privileged fields (role, status, premium, verification) protected by triggers
• Contact info in a separate table, readable only by the owner, admins or a premium unlock
• RPC APIs for search, recommendations, interests, chat, unread counts, Kundli match, contact view, block / report and account deletion
• Free-tier limits (e.g. 5 interests a day) and plan quotas, all configurable
• Photo moderation: photos need admin approval before others can see them
• Edge functions: verify-purchase (App Store), call-token (LiveKit), send-push (APNs), delete-user
• Push trigger and daily clean-up cron job
• SQL test harness to verify the database locally

Admin panel

• Single HTML file, host anywhere static (Netlify, Vercel, S3)
• Sign-in limited to admin and moderator roles; the service-role key is never used in the browser
• Manage users, approve photos and verification, handle reports, plans and app config
• Demo mode with sample data (open with ?demo)

App Store readiness

• In-app purchase for subscriptions (guideline 3.1.1)
• Block and report for user-generated content (guideline 1.2)
• In-app account deletion (guideline 5.1.1(v))

Requirements

• Xcode with iOS 17+ SDK
• A Supabase project (free tier works to start)
• For production: an SMS provider for OTP (Twilio, MSG91 or Vonage), Apple Developer account, APNs key, and a LiveKit project for calls

Notes

Some screens from the full design (e.g. later Create Profile steps, nearby matches, photo privacy controls) are supported by the backend but not yet built in the app UI. Kundli uses the moon rashi and nakshatra entered by the user; computing them from birth time and place needs an external ephemeris service. No app icon artwork is included; add your own.
